You can learn whenever and wherever you want.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Moldova has done already fundamental steps towards LLL. The Moldavian Code of Education provides that LLL shall cover all formal educational levels, including non-formal and informal learning. This is especially important as there is an <strong>increasing proportion of adults over 25 years<\/strong> compared to young people under the age of 24 years. Especially <strong>digital tools and platforms can be a driver for LLL<\/strong>, as they allow flexible ways of learning. Still, in 2014 <strong>only 39% <\/strong>of all Moldavians used the Internet for educational purposes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is an regulation on distance education (May 2016) and an regulation for continuing education for adults (March 2017), but these regulations are still rather raw and need to be consolidated by practical actions. We are the Center for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.donau-uni.ac.at\/de\/department\/imb\/forschung\/index.php\">Research in Education Technology<\/a> at Danube University Krems<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I am leading COMPASS workpackage 4 &#8220;Enhancement of institutional capacities for implementation of LLL reform&#8221; at Danube University. The workpackage aims to share good practice and train higher education staff from Moldova <strong>how to manage LLL services<\/strong>. There will be training visits at the following partner institutions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>University of Barcelona<\/li><li>Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Genova<\/li><li>University of Graz<\/li><li>European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Danube University will support higher education institutions from Moldova to <strong>develop their own LLL services<\/strong> in line with the LLL Roadmap for Moldova. The idea of the <strong>LLL services<\/strong> is to enhance the development of flexible educational programs and to establish wider access to these kind of programs. Educational technology can facilitate these aspects. There will be several training workshops in Moldova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, in <strong>May 2019<\/strong>, there will be a <strong>study visit at Danube University Krems<\/strong> about <strong>LLL policy development<\/strong> at system level. It is part of workpackage 2 &#8220;Development and advancement of national legislative framework on LLL&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project Kick-Off in Chisinau<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In mid-March I will travel to Moldova for the kick-off meeting and national COMPASS launching conference.
